"Nice but......"

As a resident of the glasgow area and a lover of all things coffee i often find it difficult to locate somewhere you can sit down and enjoy a good cup of it, although Newlands Bakery do a fine job of providing just that i especially like the cappucino they do nice size of cup and not too bitter and most of all the correct temperature " i do hate a cold cup or one that is too strong and tastes burnt".

The mojority of over-priced pretencious coffee shops that are located on kilmarnock rd are not in my book worth the money or my money anyway, coffee should be simple if you attempt to over elaborate then it ceases to be coffee and becomes what certain well known coffee establishments have numerous nonsensical names for it just does not work period.

The one slight critcism if you can call it that is that Newlands Bakery really should label the products especially the fresh cream caks, scones, pasteries and the sandwiches and rolls in fact most of the products should be clearly labelled wether they are SUITABLE FOR VEGETARIANS or not that means from the ingredients of the scone or cake etc to the butter, margarine, or cheese used not just saying that for example "YES" the cheese is suitable for vegetarians but then using animal fat or non veg butter or that the roll or bread is not suitable for vegetarians it totally defeats the purpose and the customer is not convinced or feels cheated and the staff should be trained in the knowledge of the product of what is and what is not suitable for vegetarians many a time i have asked and the response is always "erm i don't know i think so" that tells its own story and is there any way i could obtain a list of what products are suitable for vegetarians. .
