A review of Caledonian Travel by C. Smart written on Monday 5th of September 2011
My wife and I were passengers on an 8 day trip to Corwall on 26th June.It was Our first coach trip holiday. The coach was almost an hour late to pick us up and it was`nt a liveried Caledonian travel vehicle (it was a hired coach). It had small uncomfortable seats, the air circulation system did`nt work properly, and everytime it went round a bend it swayed all over the show.As it was a hot day we had an extremely uncomfortable 12 hour journey to Newquay. We spent the whole week hanging on to the seat every time we went round a bend. Just to round off the holiday there was a loud bang and a cloud of black smoke as the coach broke down on the M5 on our way home. This resulted in having to change coaches 3 times to get home BUT those coaches were excellent and if we had had one for the holiday it would have been good. The 2 star Pentire Hotel was fine and George, the driver, was excellent.
I emailed Caledonian Travel and recieved a reply which did very little to address my complaint about the coach and tried to say the breakdown was an electronic fault.
Caledonian Travel. NEVER AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! .
