A review of The Filling Station by Dee written on Monday 10th of October 2011
My friend & i went in for a meal on Friday night & were sorely disappointed. Although there was a good choice of dishes on the menu describing appetising food. What we received was not as stated. I ordered macaroni cheese & fries which was described as covered in cheese sauce with a bubbling topping of cheddar cheese. What i received was a cold dish of dry pasta spirals with a drip of watery sauce underneath. We had to laugh as when the waitress brought it to the table she asked me to be careful as it was just out of the oven. My friends meal was also cold as were the side dish of onion rings. I complained to a not so pleasant waitress who said she would bring us fresh meals. She was away minutes bringing back what looked like our previous meals after a quick ping in the micro, the only addition was a little more of the excuse for a sauce. After this nobody came to ask if we wanted fresh drinks desserts, or to clear our table. We asked for the bill, paid & left with the table still unemptied after 40 minutes of patient waiting. So if you desire a plate of cold food & service from unpleasant staff you know the place to go. AVOID! AVOID!AVOID!.
