A review of Knightswood Primary School by Pedmac written on Friday 4th of November 2011
One of my daughters attends this school, my other daughter attended St.Ninnians before going to secondary school so I have something to compare with.
The school is new and very smart but that is where the good points end. My feelings are shared by quite a few parents and by at least one of the teachers who I spoke to outside of school.
The school seems to be run like a business and would be a very successful one. Every week they seem to be asking for money towards something.
On more than one occasion my child has went to school with dinner money and the class has been taken out to a "year 6 jumble sale" or similar before lunch. In this instance what does the average 5/6 year old do when confronted with cakes or dvds at £1 each, well there goes the dinner money. But it's ok she will be fed & the parents are sent a bill at the end of the week.
This is just one of many issues I have but I dont want to rant.
Teaching 3/5
Janitor 1/5
Aesthetics 5/5
Morals 1/5
Keenness to embrace new and diverse activities such as Bollywood 5/5
Priorities 0/5.
MY CHILD WILL START HER NEW SCHOOL AFTER THE SUMMER. .
