A review of Ashoka-Curry Karaoke by Never Again written on Tuesday 13th of December 2011
Having been to the Restaurant for a curry and Karaoke night previously and had a good night - we felt confident about booking our Christmas night out here - however on arrival we found out we were in the Basement Karaoke and not the main restaurant. What a disapointing night. The waiters took a drinks order (18 in our party) then brought the drinks to the table one at a time - took a good while to complete the order. Then we never seen the waiter for ages after that. The credit card machine was not working - then when we caused a fuss it was fixed - funny that. The entertainment was more Club 18-30 and not Karaoke - 'Karaoke Craig' as he called himself - sang most of the songs whilst we were eating - then started the party games - no more singing for us or anyone else. And the song the 3 people did sing the wrong words were being displayed on the screens. They ran out of wine glasses and gin - the toilets were a disgrace. We finally gave up and left.
DO NOT GO HERE - or at least make sure you go to the main restaurant and NOT the Karaoke basement - its the PITTS.
