A review of Caledonian Travel by Wee Shee written on Thursday 24th of May 2012
We returned from a trip to Amsterdam from 13th May -18th May and wish top share my comments.
1. The driver John as well ad being a safe driver was a very caring and pleasant man taking good care of all passengers and being especially attentive to one of the company who was disabled, ensuring he had a suitable cabin on the ferry and helping him at each stop.I'd be happy to travel with him again.
2. The hotel left something to be desired. The rooms were very nice, clean and spacious enough. It appeared that the ensuite had been recently modernised and was well appointed - except there was no shower curtain which meant a wet floor ifone was not careful.
The food in the hotel was uninspired and uninspiring. They definately need to employ a decent chef!!
However the reception staff were pleasant and the manager in particular was very helpful when my husband and I decided to go into Amsterdam on our own, giving us bus timetables and directions.
On the whole we enjoyed our trip and having travelled with Caledonian several times we will be happy to do so again. .
