Just a thought . . Im from the Rev James Family . . Born in 1809 July 12th .. . . died after being Minister in Whitevale St Church . . Gallowgate in 1881 . . . We got the Bible . . His Parents were weavers then Brewers in Kirkie ..Owned land in the Barleyfields etc . . David n Elizabeth Knox . Were the folks . .Buried in St Marys . . Unda the Bench at the front !!! His brother was a successful merchant but his da owned Holmfield . . . . My father is the direct line o this reverand who was a respected man in his day . . . He tried so hard to tell us o his kids . . Most died o Fever n in chiledbirth , , V V Sad bein a midwife . Love to hear if ye know anythin . . Prettypaula7@hotmail.co.uk .
