A review of Glasgow Royal Infirmary by ANON written on Monday 1st of October 2012
MY FATHER RECEIVED OUTSTANDING TREATMENT IN WARD 45 AND DURING HIS LAST DAYS THEY MADE EVERY EFFORT TO MAKE HIM COMFORTABLE. MY FATHER HAD A DISABILITY AND WAS NOT ALWAYS TREATED WITH RESPECT IN HOSPITALS, THE LACK OF HOISTS BEING CHARGED AND PORTERS SAYING IT WAS NOT THERE JOB MADE THINGS DIFFICULT BUT THANKFULLY HE WAS TRANSFERRED TO THIS WARD AND THE STAFF WHERE REMARKABLE. THIS WARD HAD A SISTER AND I MUST SAY THAT I THINK THIS MADE A BIG DIFFERENCE TO THE WAY THIS WARD WAS RUN. WE FELT SO STRONGLY ABOUT THERE ABILITY TO CARE THAT WE HAD A COLLECTION AT THE FUNERAL FOR THIS WARD AND DONATE ON A REGULAR BASIS TO HELP IMPROVE AND MAINTAIN A MUCH NEEDED SERVICE.
