A review of Cardonald Primary School by Jim Jarvie written on Tuesday 19th of March 2013
I started in 49. Remember the hand held school bell and having to line up in the playground before entering the classrooms?
I remember Ms Espy and Ms Boyd (the head?).
Health and safety would have a field day over the giant snowballs and enormous slides in the playground during winter.
Primary 1 we had small slate boards and chalk.
Best behaved pupil of the week were awarded "gold medals" (a yellow ribbon with yellow button) and go for the class milk every day.
Did I ever get one? Well that's for me to know!.
