A review of China Buffet King by Anonymous2007 written on Sunday 12th of August 2007
In short, I can’t recommend the China Buffet King (West Nile street branch). You pay a fixed fee for the food, and extra for drinks. Food is mediocre, and seems to keep barely warm in the self service area. There is barely an inch between most tables, so you almost feel as if you are sharing a long canteen style table with other dinners. The décor is dark, with black wipe clean tables, and similar floor. Drinks orders are taken quickly, but perhaps this is because it earns extra income (especially since you are coerced into ordering a “large one”). Unfortunately the overall impression is that the management wants your money and wants you out quickly so they maximise profits. Blink and your plate will disappear, presumably to stop any more visits to the self service buffet. Of course every business has to make a profit, but this place certainly didn’t make me feel comfortable, more like an inconvenience to the running of their business.
