A review of Barrowfield Primary School by Anonymous written on Sunday 15th of September 2013
How I remember Barrowfield School I lived in the neighborhood and walked or ran to school. Memories! If your family had enough money you were given a tan lunch card that you payed for, if you came from a family that needed help you were given a pink card. This made it obvious that you were poorer. Also how about when the green ladies came you were marched one by one into a room where they examined you in front of everyone, very briefly, head, for lice, teeth, and a peek at other parts. In todays society it would be given another name. We did not know any better. But here I am, made it though, and with some great and interesting memories that I would not change for anything. Catherine.
