No appts available at usual hairdressers, so decided on spur of moment to go here. The woman told me 20 mins, I waited three quarters of an hour. No apology when taken, although friendly enough. What non-plussed me though, was that reason for hold up was that she was doing the trainee's hair, who was in on her day off, having her hair darkened after dyeing it too light.
So to my hair: Was given an expensive treatment I did not ask for, ie, she muttered something about hair needing something or other, putting stuff on it, then leaving me with heat directing at hair for another precious three quarters of an hour, during which she left me with (in my opinion) a bottle of cheap looking olive conditioner which she told me my hair was in serious need of, which could be bought for £9!!
The cut itself; my hair is long and straight, I just wanted 2 or 3 inches off length and tidied up. It was difficult to say after I left that anything had been taken off it at all but she did get happy with a pair of thinning scissors, which my hair is still recovering from a year later. That part makes me wonder if she really was a hairdresser at all.
When paying, which was obviously overcharged for as I did not ask for a treatment (£36!!!-I was flabber-ghasted) She also asked me to buy the conditioner at £9 a bottle but I'm afraid I certainly wasn't taken in by her sales technique and told her no.
