A review of Caledonian Travel by Anonymous written on Saturday 14th of December 2013
Went to Blackpool with Caledonian in early November and stayed in the Imperial Hotel, which is not close to the attractions of Blackpool as advertised but approx. 8 miles along the North shore. However that was the the least of our problems. While the cost of the trip was reasonable I did expect a better standard of accommodation. The hotel is in a major need of an upgrade, the dining room is like being back in the school canteen only worse. The quality of the food was awful and as for the plastic tumblers in the bar, well what can I say. Never again. I complained 5 weeks ago to both Caledonian, still waiting for a response, and the hotel, yet to investigate but did offer a discount on next visit. An offer I will not be taking up..
