"Does anyone remember Mr Shaw who was headmaster at Tormusk in the early 1970s?"

A review of Tormusk Primary School by Alec Shaw's daughter written on Friday 4th of July 2014

Sadly, my Dad died from cancer in 1974 but Tormusk was a huge part of my Dad's life. I would love to hear some memories from anyone who remembers him. I remember being told about the break in one weekend where sugar was trailed all over the staff room. the power cuts of the 70s that killed the tropical fish.the football awards where all the guests in their finery were handed a mutton pie in their hands - and the footballer of the year burst into tears! I remember too Mr Linklater in his wee red car and, of course, Mr Miller who was kindness itself after my Dad died. Not bad considering I was at Primary when Dad became a Heidie!.
