A review of Hazelden Equestrian Centre by Former groupie written on Saturday 30th of August 2014
It is okay as schools go. The riding school horses are well schooled, problem is there is not a lot of choice. Too few school horses to choose from. Lessons are good, especially with Kerri, who is an excellent teacher. I think, truth be told the business model needs a bit of work. Only offering livery to geldings is very limiting and misses out on a huge livery market. Personally I have a lovely 10 year old Connemara MARE, who could be stabled happily at Hazelden were it not for this view of geldings only. Hopefully the manager (part of the family of owners)Robb Young will give some thought to purchasing horses which are good for all levels of rider, not just the most advanced as this would enhance the school. I wish them the best of luck with it anyway..
