A review of Behar Carpets by Sally Cunningham written on Monday 4th of December 2006
I have had many dealings with Behar carpets over a number of years but have allways used the Howe Street shop, more knowledgeable staff and a better service is on offer. Early this year my husband and I ordered a full house of carpeting including Amtico for all our wet areas. As we were working on a tight schedule the manager of the store personally visited our home to undertake the estimating and help to provide advice on the Amtico we were considering. In the end we went with Behar for the full house including the Amtico, even though we had a cheaper quote from another supplier but the salesman at Behar was more technical especially regarding the Amtico fitting and advised us on specific requirements of the adhesive pointing out that my other supplier was intending to use a cheaper adhesive hence the difference in price. I was not quite prepared to outlay a huge deposit (50%) on an order worth several thousand pounds but the salesman offered an interest free option with a smaller deposit. In the end we need not have worried, everything apart from one bathroom was laid according to schedule. There was a problem with the bathroom tiles which was swiftly resolved and fitted as soon as the supplier had sent the correct size tiles.
My daughter has just purchased her first flat and I have no problem recommending the same store.
