"Car put in for MOT - failed to detect brake problem!"

A car owned by a relative of mine was put in for a service, then MOT, then returned with brake noise.

Through all of this work, the fact that a brake caliper had seized and one brake pad was worn down to the steel backing was completely missed. Despite the owner specifically mentioning excessive brake noise!.
