"I discharged myself !!!!"

I discharged myself from the southern general last night ! I arrived at 3pm on Friday admitted with chronic iron deficiency anaemea , and bleeding . Was put in a dirty room , patient had just left , soiled bedding , blood on floor .guy came to change room , eventually , stripped of pillowcases , threw pillows to floor , yup on dried blood , made up bed , very loose wipe round . Left ther awaiting a blood transfusion , 11.30 told no transfusion , try to sleep , woken 12.30 , we are moving you ! Wait till 1.45 , move to 11th floor , room 77 . Try to sleep drop off wee hours , woken lots ! Next day finally got transfusion ! Left 1hr 45 mins still attached after complete , oh had been given laxative as due colonoscopy next day ! Long story short . Was in 5 days told to fast 4 of them given 8-9 doses of industrial laxatives . Every time due for scan , wait , no scan ! I lost 9lbs ! Never got the same info from two people , total lack of comumicaion throughout the hospital . I am anaemic with IBS my body can't take all that laxatives and fasting . The food I saw others get was the worse I've ever seen ! Pathetic ! This place should not be open , it's a disaster , people on trollies all over , total confusion ! I finally had enough and left after waiting a day and a half I for a scan ,nil by mouth , then told tomorrow , again ! The meds I was prescribed , the nurse did not know what they were for or how to use ? I'd had enough ! Told them I was going ,asked to wait for 30 mins for a Dr , waited 50 asked about Dr , told was busy , signed a bit of paper , then , the best bit , they took the meds I'd been prescribed and really needed off me ! I can't see my Dr till next week , I need those meds , this place is a disorganised disgrace ! I will neve set foot in anothe NHS hospital again , oh and my arm got infected with having the canula thing in it for5 days . Marion Mackenzie , bearsden , glasgow.
