To Joseph Cairns: it is nice to know that students who were at the school 20 years after I was there who had some of the same teachers I had when I was there.

For Francis McKay: You are right about the name of the head teacher of the time when the new St Joan of Arc school opened. You should remember Mrs. Payne, who worked in St. Joans from 1967 until her retirement in 1989; it was Mrs Payne who told me this but she never did tell me when her successor Mrs Ritchie took as head teacher though. Of course I can't comment about activities at this time because I was a toddler when the school opened. It opened on the 12th February 1972, when I was 16 months old. Its just a pity the school closed though, because 3 years ago, the school would've celebrated it's 40th anniversary..
