A review of Bankhead Childrens Home by Alexis Tracey/Henderson written on Tuesday 1st of September 2015
Bankhead was a good home the staff where amazing and put everything into all us weans , date was the manager when I was there and it was me charlene caz , Barry , David k , Yvonne was older lol ma big sis , she was always trying to keep me outa trouble , then Amanda and Greg and all the wee ones.I loved my time in Bankhead it was home when I had nowhere and during my time it became a longterm unit and we had younger kids in and had amazing holidays , scaring them wi boaby loaby haha and the staff wee sue , geraldine gerry , Gordon , gregor , auntie lie and auntie Agnes :) fond memories of bankhead , I have 3 boys now who are almost 12 & 13 in Nov & Dec & my wee man alfie will be 2 on Xmas day 😊 I won't say my life has been amazing since leaving but I'm in a good place in my life now and have finally let go of my past thanks to all the staff at bankhead for giving plenty of hugs and advice , & for being patient with me as I'm sure u could've choked me at times 😉 lol , I'd love to hear from anyone from the unit , look me up on Facebook lexi tracey , u might have known me as Alexis Henderson or Alexis Tracey lol hope everyone is doing well and take care all xxx.
