A review of KFC by Mike Hart written on Wednesday 11th of November 2015
I'm on an extended holiday here in Glasgow from the U.S and where I stay overlooks this location.I went there hoping for a little taste of home and was very disappointed.Firstly, in the U.S, when you order a large bucket, you get 8 biscuits plus your choice of 4 large sides as opposed to 2.I was hoping to find some good ole homestyle biscuits but get no bread product at all, and there are barely 4 sides to choose from, no macaroni & cheese, no mashed potatoes and gravy. Those are classics, yet aren't on the menu?Next I get home, and find 2 portions of beans that appear to be in sauce containers and barely over half full. Now bearing in mind a 14 piece bucket is supposed to feed 4 people.the amount in those tiny containers barely qualifies as a serving for 1, much less 2.Getting to the chicken, the batter on most was very dark brown, having been overcooked to the point of burning.I'm surprised franchises operating at this level are actually licensed as KFC.In short if your an American looking for a taste of home, go to the McDonalds a couple blocks up the road, at least the big macs taste authentic..
