"Buchanan Towbars not as reputable as initially thought"

I was looking forward to getting a towbar fitted to my van and after looking in the area thought to use Buchanans Towbar on Cambuslang Road.They seemed very helpful when initially looking for a quote and then booking the vehicle in. What I found after I had paid was that the towbar was scuffed, only discovered after removing the plastic cap. No one mentioned this before taking my vehicle home. I returned to enquire about the damage. An initial excuse was it could be done by the plastic cap however there were several scuffs all over the towbar which were down to the metal. The next reason was that this happens and the towbar was going to get scuffed so I should just get used to it. I have to say after paying a considerable amount of money for a professional service being told that that is how the towbar is going to look like after use is not really good enough. The man at the desk who was helpful initially now dismissed my query. If the towbar is going to get scuffed through use I would like to be the person to use it not the towbar premises that I am supposed to get alledgedly brand new towbar from. Use Buchanans in Glasgow at your peril..
