A review of PDSA Pet Aid Hospital by J Ward written on Tuesday 15th of November 2016
Getting a Jack Russell spayed - checkup appointment told, "I THINK she's got a phantom pregnancy - but bring her in in November". Duly brought in - after an hour's wait for 8:30 appointment - vet assistant didn't check the dog AT ALL and we received an 11AM call at home (very disturbing!) to say dog was in heat, can't do op, please come and get her ASAP. I hope the assistant concerned got her fortune told.
The vet who released her was very apologetic, but how did this happen in the first place? The original examination was inadequate, obviously.
DO NOT BOTHER TRYING TO PHONE - if you get through the receptionists are extremely curt. Also we were made to pay in advance, which we were later told is not standard practice, so obviously there are training issues here, both in front-of-house and basic assistant practice..
