A review of Scottish Daily Mail by James Stewart written on Friday 18th of November 2016
I was booked on a flight from Edinburgh to Gatwick operated by EasyJet. Whilst waiting to take off the captain announced that due to an oil leak the plane was going nowhere and that all passengers and luggage were to leave the plane. I was told by an EasyJet employee that the next flight to Gatwick was full and the last flight of the day was cancelled. I had no alternative but to go to another airline and fly to Gatwick, it was essential that I got there as I had another EasyJet flight to catch at 0645 the next day. EasyJet have refused to pay me compensation under EU rules which state that I am due 250 Euros for their cancellation. Can you help me please to resolve this ongoing problem?.
