A review of St Joan Of Arc R C Special School by Mark Bird written on Friday 7th of April 2017

Hello there Francis. My name is Mark Bird and I attended St. Joan of Arc School which is now gone, from January 1984 to June. If you want to know when the new building opened, it opened on the 12 February 1972, at which time I was a toddler. I know this because I saw a plaque commemorating this event on my way to the dinner hall. I had heard about Miss Steele being the head teacher of this school, because Mrs. Payne whom you should remember, told me about her. Miss Steele was replaced by a Mrs. Ritchie, but I never did find out exactly when this happened, but I am reckoning it to be about Summer 1977, because Mrs Ritchie retired in Summer 1987..
