A review of The Bargain Wool Shop by Irene Dunn written on Saturday 7th of October 2017
I came across this wool shop in Gallowgate when we were visiting the Billy Connolly Murels. I used to frequent The Gallowgate when I lived in Glasgow and used to go to a shop Called Rita’s when we used to get our Bristol Checks. And we’d buy our clothes. The woman in wool shop says it was still there but it was now a bridal shop. She was so informative. I live in Edinburgh now but we never buy wool from anywhere else since we found this shop. I’ve knitted Four Arrans and just bought some more Double Knitting to do something else now. Pity they don’t have a website but it’s worth a day in Glasgow..
