A review of Direct Flooring by Maureen Murphy written on Friday 12th of January 2018
I purchased click vinyl for my kitchen & conservatory. I was told it was waterproof when in fact the joints are not. I had a few tiles that would not click into place upon fitting. I did report this but said I wouldn’t bother & would put a mat on top of them. A couple of weeks later I had a problem with a few of tiles in the conservataory opening up & one tile in kitchen doing same. After 3 months & numerous visits to the Falkirk shop a fitter for “direct flooring” appeared & said the problem was a 5mm gap had not been left, but my problem was I had spaces, not lack of 5mm.
He then contradicted himself when the tile in kitchen did have expansion space. Feel they just want to fob off complaints & not honour them..
