A review of Ruchill Primary School by Linda Byrne written on Tuesday 16th of March 2021
We were you, eager to learn and like all children aged 5 to 12 , had some degree of vulnerability. Out teachers were teachers of their era and all used the strap, apart from Mrs Cunningham, she was a saint, so kind, so caring and a true educator.
I will not name some of the other teachers but one used to spend time each afternoon polishing her strap that was used liberally. There was also Miss B who poked children in the arms calling them lazy . cant say it in 2021.
But, l would love to know who put a tack under on GTs seat and l got belted for it.
I studied and did well in higher education but l give Richill Primary no credit for that..
