A review of St Gilbert's R C Primary School by George Linton written on Tuesday 12th of September 2023
When to the Gilbert from p1 rember having to walk down from merry stone St to craigmuir St to catch the school bus every single day still remember my p1 to p3 teacher Mrs rice.
One thing I'll never forget was one day myself (George Linton) my best friend james murdoch and George (pud) Welsh (all 3 b/hilll& wee george (clydie) Clyde (germiston) where made to stay in to finish the p3 art project a big buffalo took up about 6 school desk in size but us being 6/7 Mrs Rice gave us glue paper paint & still to this day I don't know why she left us alone so now games a boagy we all paint every where bits a paper with glue all over us the walls windows can still rember poor Mrs rice's face
THAT Is just one of the happy stories I have
Thanks to all the staff that taught me from 1982 till I whent to smithycroft
All in all best wee R. C. school anywhere but just my humble opinion
Thanks for indulging my rant
G. Linton.
