"Pretend Sale"

I received a quote a couple of weeks ago. At time no mention whatsoever re sale or discounts. Recently see Apollo are offering 20% discount. Went back and asked to have discount applied to my quote only to be told that discount was applied at time quote was given. REALLY then why wasn’t I told at the time? Surely they would be broadcasting big 20% discount from roof but no - silence. I think no such discount was ever given: it didn’t exist at time and I doubt it does now. Now they’d just up price before pretending to reduce it to the same price. Sharp practice: won’t use..
