A review of Holy Cross R C Primary School by Michael keating written on Friday 16th of November 2007
I attended holy cross primary between 1968 and 1975 and have many many memories of this school. Favourite teacher was Frank Quigley he was an absolute gem of a man and a good teacher. There were many good teachers at this school although most of the names escape me now. I remember the headmaster a burly man with white hair mr.Travis i think his name was. Ilived next door to the school at 290 calder st. so didn't have far to travel. I believe now that the tenement has been pulled down and its just a grass area now. Had lots of mates at this school,Neil Ferry,John McFadden and Gerry McNally to name a few. I often wonder where these guys are now and what they're doin'. I now live in Germany and have done so for the last 15 years, but i dont visit Glasgow much these days,i left Scotland in 1980. If anyone remembers me then drop a message onto this site and i'll read it. .
