A review of The Merchant Pride by Paul Robertson written on Tuesday 27th of November 2007
To everyone that has placed a message on this site. I cant believe how many people have taken the time to leave a message - bad or good. I am not familiar with any other gay pub that seems to have so many people taking the time to leave a message on a website. Everyone is entitled to their oppinion and some people might not like the entertainment, the pub, the staff or whatever else. However, i do feel that some people are now expressing their oppinions in a way which is not appreciated. i.e. rude! If you dont like the entertainment, or bar staff you are of course entitled to your oppinion. But try to express it in in a more constructive and sensitive way. !! And to agree with vicky - we dont serve food - so who ever got cold food in the pub - you must of cooked it yourself!!
I love going out on the gay scene in Glasgow and drink in almost all the venues and have never had a problem with any member of staff. So i hope that those who do enjoy the pub keep on coming in and those that dont - find a pub which better suits them. After all everyone has different taste!
P.S. As the saturdays and sundays are packed in the pub - the Entertainment, Staff must be doing something right.
see u soon
Paul (bar staff).
