A review of Agenda by Susana Myres written on Thursday 20th of March 2008
We had a meal tonight (thur 20/03/08)
My two friends and i were celebrating a recent birth in my family. The girl that served us had long brown hair and had an extremely smiley face. I never quite caught her name-Julie-Gilly?
We had not booked but yet were still greeted with a sincere smile so we did not feel bad. We were given the option of a seat which suited us because we are quite funny. The girl offered to take our jackets but we said no. She gave us time to settle then asked if we would like a drink. We were wanting wine but werent sure as to which one. Thankfully the girl know what she was talking about when it came the variety Agenda had to offer so picking our wine was not a problem. She even asked if we wanted to taste the wine but we declined.
As she was pouring the wine, she addressed us with the soup of the day and explained the 2 for £8.95 meal they had on offer.
We were left to decide and within the right time the girl appeared, when taking her order she was very pleasant and told us we had made the right choices!
The startes appeared very quickly and tasted wonderful, the plates were cleared in appropriate time. The mains took slightly longer but no complaints as the girl was right-the food was spectacular. She checked back on us and made sure our wine was always topped up. In a very genuine way.
Again the plates were cleared in appropriate time. and we were offered desserts. we declined so the gilr explained that she would let us relax and she would return to see if we would like coffees etc.
The candles were lit and the music was subtle but in a good way. The atmosphere was lovely.
we really enjoed our time spent in Agenda and will return with friends. our experience of the building, staff and everything else was spot on! thank you!.
