A review of The Bothy Restaurant by Jai written on Monday 24th of March 2008
We ate at The Bothy this evening and the experience was both good (the food) and bad (the awful Service).
The restaurant was quite quiet (it was a Monday night) but still the staff managed to forget a starter, a pint of beer and 2 desserts in total and we were a party of only 5 people.
The food itself was delicious, but the starter was lukewarm at best (I think it was sitting for a time until the staff got round to serving) and there was no offer of more drinks etc.
Desserts arrived long after we had finished our teas and coffees and when this was pointed out, the server stated that one of the desserts takes 15 minutes to prepare in a way which suggested that we should have known that !!
Overall the bill was just under £160 for 5 people and we all agreed that we would not return, nor would we recommend this restaurant to friends..
