A review of H R Bradford (Bakers) Ltd by Sheena B. written on Friday 28th of March 2008
Bradford's entices you in with a mouth-watering window display of their own chocolates and bakery treats. Weary shoppers will be glad to know that at the far end of the shop there is a flight of stairs leading up to the old fashioned tearoom where staff in black/white uniforms conduct you to tables (window if you are lucky). White linen tablecloth,(protected by glass top) and comfortable chairs to sink into. Miss Marple could almost be at the next table.
You can order something as small as a Jap cake (exquisite) with a pot of scented tea or a proper meal followed by a selection from the cream cakes trolley.
This is proper old fashioned service and style. Forget the "renowned" tearoom up the road (over priced and over rated). This is the business..
