"Mr Loftus retired?"

Well, I'm sad to hear that Mr Loftus retired, without even a chance for us to make a little presentation for him. Undoubtedly, the present staff and pupils did, but those of us who formerly had kids that were helped by Mr Loftus would have appreciated the opportunity to say 'farewell and all the best" also. When did he retire? Is there going to be a formal presentation night, at the school, at a later date?.
