A review of Castleton Primary School by Big Sherbet Dab written on Tuesday 30th of December 2008
Season 73 74 was an unusual year for Castleton football team no teacher available to take the team. The Heidy whos name escapes me but always wore a suit and made me eat brussel sprouts 5 years earlier at the school dinner table summoned myself and wee shawsy to his office. The task, pick a team and enter the cup.Not being in the league we were expected to be pushovers but got all the way to the semis where a strange decision by our shared groundsman against Windlaw to retake a penalty already scored by Kenny chriton meant we were out the cup .Never mind the winners went on to get maulicated by St.Julies in the final years later I found out the groundsmans long lost son played for windlaw or was that just another urban legend ! .
