A review of Allied International Credit by I know my rights written on Friday 6th of February 2009
Under the Consumer Credit Agree ment you are entitled to request a true copy of the alleged agreement. I have requested this - sent a letter and £1 postal order via recorded delivery. By law they have to supply the documents within 12 working days. Furthermore if they fail to supply the agreement within the additional statutory period of 1 calendar month they have committed an offence under s77(4). AIC have failed to send me a copy the agreement despite 2 letters sent to them via recorded delivery over a period of 2 months!! Yet still they continue to phone me and speak to me in a rude and aggressive manner. I am now recording the phone calls with a view to reporting them for harrassment. I would urge anybody who is being contacted by AIC or any other DCAs to visit the Consumer Action Group website and send letters to the DCAs asking for a copy of the credit agreement - it is YOUR RIGHT that THEY supply you with this and if THEY can't then they CANNOT enforce the debt. .
