A review of The Polo Lounge by Dave written on Tuesday 7th of April 2009
I recently went to the Polo Lounge with a few friends for a night out. When the club first opened it was fun and offered a good night out.
However, over the past few years I have found it an increasingly unpleasant experience. Several members of the bar staff seem to be unable to serve people in turn at the bar preferring instead to serve their friends first. My friend, who has never been, had to pay in twice, because the door staff didn't stamp his hand when he went out for a cigarette.
This is unfortunate because I think that with a bit more attention to detail, or possibly training, of staff and management this could be a great club.
Despite what I have said I would still recommend it as the only gay nightclub in Glasgow worth visiting as the alternatives are dire.
Then again... Maybe that's why they don't have to try so hard..
