A review of Haddows by Des Lambley written on Monday 25th of May 2009
Hello Haddow people
My great great great great grandmother was Isobel Haddow married to James Bruce inkeeper about 1788 in Barony.
They had a number of children. One David was sentenced to 14 years in the Colony in 1829 for robbery 90 yards to the westward of Shettleston on the high road leading between Glasgow and Airdrie. Is this a coincidence to have a Haddow today in the same area and spirit sellers?
It would be most appreciate if you would kindly pass this to someone in the Haddow family who might know anything of this family history. Little can be found of James and Isobel and the remainder of their family.
