A review of Tchai-Ovna Tea House by David White written on Monday 19th of March 2007
My time at Tchai Ovna is always of top quality, I have visited many times and tried many of their teas, soups and vegetarian meals.
At first the price of tea may seem expensive (if you are used to a mug of tea from Starbucks or Costa) but when you realise the effort put into every pot and the extent at which the open leaves brew then £2.80 hardly seems taxing.
The venue has wonderful music on throughout the week, and those days which it does not it hosts book groups, knitting groups and literature readings. The food offered is varying in size and taste and they have definitely mastered the art of making their vegan / vegetarian foods compensate for the lack of meat.
I would definitely recommend Tchai-Ovna as it is a lovely venue with soothing teas - over 80 they proclaim!.
