A review of Glasgow Royal Infirmary by Sandra West written on Monday 19th of March 2007
On behalf of all the West family, I wish to put on record our sincere thanks to all the staff of Ward 21 in the G.R.I. My mother-in-law, Janet West, spent several weeks in this ward, including the day of her 98th birthday, and was, at all times, treated with dignity and personal care. The staff were friendly and caring, talking to mum even when she was obviously unconscious, explaining gently what they were going to do and why. At all times she was treated as a person, one who deserved the best of care at the end of a long and productive life. The family was also cared for in many ways, always being able to talk to a doctor or sister about mum and, at the end, treated with kindnes and consideration, which was greatly appreciated.
From Janette, Bill(William), Derek, Stuart and me many thanks and God Bless you all.
Sandra West.
