A review of Capri Skies by Anne written on Friday 5th of June 2009
It is good some dresses are being delivered.
But that's probably the only bit of Mrs McIvers comment I agree with.
Starting her comment 'Hello Girls' how condescending... she knows nothing of Capri Skies and her daughter was just one of the lucky one's who got her dress on time and her wedding day was 'heaven on earth'.
Regardless of circumstances for closing the shop the way everyone has been left in the lurch is wrong ... instead of looking forward to their big day they are in a wave of worry that doesn't just affect the bride but the whole family, many of whom have paid out a lot of money and may not have the cash to pay out again for a replacement dress ... it is despicable.
Mrs McIver's comments throughout are a disgrace.
It may be interesting for you to know that James and Kahula Cameron have already had disgruntled customers who took them to court last year, Homewood v James & Kahula Cameron.
This was because a bride was so upset by receiving her gown to make her big day 'heaven on earth' to find out it was an ex display dress - they won their claim at Glasgow Sheriff Court.
Sometimes people [Mrs McIver] should keep their mouths shut if they can't offer a positive statement at this time. I don't believe in witch hunts, just ask people to treat me as I treat others - with respect and unfortunately the Camerons have not done this.
I sincerely hope all involved will have a wonderful wedding day with family and friends..
