If you paid for your dress etc by Visa Debit Card, you can claim ALL money (not just over £100 like credit cards) back under the new Visa Debit Chargeback scheme, which only started in Jan 09 this year after all banks who supply Visa Debit Cards agreed to it. There will initially be a dispute and both your bank and the suppliers bank will investigate the matter fully before any money is returned. you must claim within 120 days. You fill in a claim form and the bank does the rest. This does not apply to maestro, solo or electron cards. The fact that some people are getting money back already, would suggest that the suppliers bank has agreed to pay it back, so it should be quite quick to get it back. If your bank is saying No your not entitled to claim if you have a Visa debit then persevere because you are entitled to it. hope this helps.
