A review of Anarkali Indian by Davey Blackie written on Saturday 25th of July 2009
The anarkali is Glasgow's most underrated Indian Restaurant by a long way. It's far better than any of the chains, and the match of pretty much any independently-owned restaurant
The South Indian Garlic And Chilli is astounding, as is the spicy korma.
Their spicy mushroom dosas are more like a lighter samosa, but with a really flavoursome filling.
On top of all this-the staff will adapt anything to suit taste (Ask for any kind of nan and they'll make it-we've put this to the test many times...),and their advice is reliable and bull****-free.
Very vegetarian friendly too..and reasonably priced
Oh and if that's not enough-you can bring your own bottle and there's no corkage charge making this overall the best value Indian restaurant in Scotland and I get around so that's no hype....
