A review of Cafe Spice by A+R written on Tuesday 27th of October 2009
This is a great restaurant on the rooftop of Cumbernauld town centre. I've been dining there for years and can highly recommend it for good food, service and value for money. There are great meal deals available making their lunchtime menu better value than the local burger joints. Stand in a queue to buy processed food in a cardboard box,eat it with your fingers then clear your own table afterwards or go to Cafe Spice and have first class food and service in lovely surroundings. I know which I prefer ! The staff are very friendly and nothing is too much trouble for them. This is an update on a previous review of mine to highlight another plus for Cafe Spice in addition to their great food and service. It's the only restaurant for miles around that will happily cater for someone who is severely restricted in what they can eat due to swallowing problems. When this became a problem I thought our regular meals there would come to an end. But thanks to Bunti and his staff this didn't happen and they gladly put a curry of choice in the blender and serve it up in the consistency required. We've been to countless restaurants/hotels/bars who have refused to even consider this option for someone with learning difficulties who now has a swallowing problem.
Watch out also for their cabaret nights, tribute acts etc which are always very reasonably priced and include a first class meal with the entertainment..
