A review of Glasgow Royal Infirmary by Staff in Ward 53. written on Monday 18th of January 2010
In August 2009,
I was taken in to the emergency department of the
Glasgow Royal after a serious fall at home.
After a life threatening 24hrs, I was put in
WARD 53/room 3,where I ended up staying 11 weeks
under the care and attention of the magnificent
staff of the ORTHOPAEDIC and PHYSIO DEPARTMENTS.
I was an enormously obese 56 stone man suffering
from a fractured hip and life threatening
breathing problems.
I would just like to highlight the high level of
nursing care I was given by Matron Jackie and her
team.
In this desperate time of need and change in my
life,a special thankyou must go out to such stars
as Sister Marie Allen and Sister Diane Whiteside.
Other members of this great team include Paula,
Ashleigh,Lyndsey,Katie,Janice,Theresa,Tracey,David,
Scott,Liz,Lynn,Sandra,Margaret,Brenda,Angela...
It's Jan'2010,I now weight a mobile 31 stone and
looking forward to the future ahead.
Again, THANKYOU to the staff at Glasgow Royal.
See you all very soon.
