It's worth looking through this site and previous forums about AIC before attempting to deal with this matter on your own.
Use CAG to check the company out and ask others about them.
Once you receive sound advice from CAG on the best solution, THEN use National Debtline if you think that's the best way forward.
Take my word for it that if AIC has a debt, it's a long way off court - no matter what AIC claim!
AIC do not take anyone to court themselves, despite what they claim - deciding court action would be up to AIC's client to instigate, not AIC themselves.
CAG also has a good letter templates section, for letters that can be used depending on what situation is involved.
Plus, CAG is free of charge, and doesn't charge for anything at any point..
