A review of Marks & Spencer by Les Trueman written on Saturday 27th of March 2010
On Saturday 27 March I was in your store which in general was quiet but had a very large queue at both the Ordering & Collection desk and the returns desk. A lot of people were unhappy with the delays apparently caused according to two senior staff by staff shortages. I wanted to make use of the currency dispenser which after two attempts had failed to supply me with Euros. On Queuing at the Bureau de Change I mentioned the fact the machine was not operating and suggested it may need re-filling. The girl informed me that it had sufficient cash within it just wasnt working properly. She further informed me the malfunction had been reported a couple of days ago. Surely short staffed as you did appear to be someone in management could have arranged for a sign to be placed on the machine informing customers of the fault. Not quite what I expect from M&S.
