A review of Springboig St Johns School by The "Observer" written on Sunday 18th of April 2010
Maybe your right and the observer does not represent the feelings of the staff group in any way, shape or form. The observer has never implied that he does. To suggest the observer is a bitter, desperate member of staff who is uncertain of their future employment prospects is nonsense and way of the mark. The observer personally feels they have a good chance of keeping their job because they believe in their own skills and ability to deal with the boys and does not have any concerns in that department. The observer sees clearly what is happening and how staff are being treated but if the staff are happy with what they see then good on them although personally the observer has never heard the group of staff saying so. Staff are concerned for their jobs, we all are but if the new plans are the way forward then surely the staff should have been informed well before now that they will keep their jobs with this “smooth transition". Also why have staff not been informed that their conditions of service will be unchanged and the status quo prevails? Some staff have been told that their jobs are safe but nothing else. Is this right? The observers is entitled to speak up and give an opinion and welcomes people like the ”interested party” to give their opinion. Finally, to suggest that the observer is posting comments under various aliases to attempt to create an illusion that they have the support of a wider audience sounds to me that maybe it is “the concerned party” that is “desperate” and concerned. Has it not occurred to the "interested party" that staff et al reading the observers comments might just agree with what this person is saying and posting their support..
